Dr. Vijayalakshmi Ravi is an academician and researcher with many years of experience teaching diverse subjects such as Computer Science, Design and Technology and Theory of Knowledge. She holds a Doctorate in Computer Science and uses her academic journey to explore research across various fields, including computer science, design, and other areas, fostering unique connections and interdisciplinary insights.

The journey in music and therapy
Her passion for Indian classical music and Violin extends beyond academia. Trained in Carnatic music and Natyashastra, she holds diplomas in both fields. Additionally, Dr. Ravi has studied Naada Yoga, further deepening her understanding of the therapeutic power of sound. She is a government-certified music therapist and is certified by the HSSC for professional music therapy practice, specializing in using music to support individuals with emotional and psychological challenges. With a holistic approach, Dr. Ravi combines her technical expertise and musical skills to help others through therapeutic music interventions, enriching lives with the healing power of sound. Dr Vijayalakshmi Ravi was also awarded Srijansheel Sangeetopchar Saadhak Puraskar for her work in this field in June 2024.
